We use organic flour, as many local and seasonal ingredients as possible and no artificial additives are used here.
These classes are ideal for individuals, groups of friends, as a soiree, or for corporate team building.
You will be creating, and taking home:-
1. Sauerkraut - 2 kinds
2. Shortcrust Pastry for the below:
3. King Charles Coronation Quiche
4. Bakewell Tartlet
It takes place in Titchmarsh Village Clubroom, only a couple of doors down from the bakery. It is a good space with two fan ovens, and parking, it helps that the environment will be just like a home kitchen so that you can learn to do this in your own home more readily.
The class will consist of up to 10 people, pairing up for some of the equipment and activity, all of us together in one space. I will demonstrate everything first in any case and also assist. There is no pressure! It is all meant to be fun!
Be prepared to get stuck in... you will be weighing, rolling, lifting as well as working with a hot oven, involving handling hot pans, graters and sharp knives.
Wear something that you don't mind getting floury and doughy! And be able to roll up your sleeves, and be comfortable. Don't worry about your clothing too much or a pinny; it's relaxed.
Alongside the baking experience there will be a selection of food choices as a grazing buffet. We hope that we please everybody, examples include antipasti such as olives, artichoke hearts, falafel, a selection of cheeses, sauerkraut of course!, parma ham, grapes. Gluten free won't be something that we are able to provide on this day unfortunately, as wheat is going to be all around us at all times.
NOTE: Please be advised that within 8 weeks of the workshop we cannot cancel a reserved place and give a refund however we will attempt to re-sell your place should you need us to, and if successful, we will refund you.
